Amanda Chisholm started My Smart Office with a clear mission: to support builders, trades and small business owners navigate the day-to-day complexities of running a business.

Amanda Chisholm knows what happens when the paperwork piles up: the jobs get done but the bills don’t get paid, cashflow dries up, tax deadlines sneak up and suddenly you’re doing admin at midnight instead of knocking off with your team.

Amanda runs a successful residential building company with her husband and has spent over 20 years sorting customers, sales, marketing, bookkeeping and admin. She saw how easy it is for good builders to get buried under compliance, payroll, chasing debt and invoices that don’t send themselves.

That’s why she started My Smart Office, to back up builders, tradies and small business owners who’d rather be on the tools than stuck behind a desk. Amanda built a tight team trained in the same practical, no-fuss systems she uses to keep her own business solid.

With a background in corporate sales and marketing and a natural knack for helping people, Amanda brings warmth, wisdom and just the right amount of hustle to the My Smart Office team. She wears a lot of hats: supporting her team, mentoring clients and making sure their systems, payroll, bookkeeping and admin are all running like a well-oiled machine.

Amanda thrives on meeting new people and loves welcoming new clients into the fold. Her favourite part? Seeing business owners regain control, reduce stress and actually start enjoying their business again. Described by her team as bubbly and full of knowledge, Amanda’s the person you want in your corner when you’re ready to lighten your load and sharpen up your systems.

Outside work, you’ll likely find her on the sidelines cheering on her daughter Mackenzie at football, or in the gym working on her strength game (spa and sauna mandatory afterwards). With a love for boating and exploring the Hauraki Gulf, she and her husband Bryce are currently on the hunt for their next boat and the next great weekend adventure.

With over a decade of experience in accounts administration, payroll and financial management, plus a freshly earned Bachelor of Accountancy, Annemien knows her way around the numbers. She’s the one making sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly, accurately and on time.

She thrives on building strong client relationships and seeing the difference her work makes in keeping businesses compliant, efficient and stress-free. For Annemien, the real reward is knowing her clients can focus on what they do best while she takes care of the rest.

Outside the office, you’ll find her tramping the Waitākere bush trails, cooking up a feast for her family or decorating cakes so beautiful they’re almost too good to eat.

Teresa brings serious horsepower to the My Smart Office team, and we’re not just talking about her love of hot rods. With a background in accounts across the mechanical and building industries, she knows her way around the numbers and isn’t afraid to get stuck in. In her words, she does “as much as I can for each of our clients”, and she means it.

Outside work, Teresa’s usually on the go, playing pickleball or squash, hanging with the grandbabies or catching up over a drink (or two). There’s never a dull moment when she’s around, and her sense of humour is just as sharp as her spreadsheets.

Teresa loves working with different clients and getting to know all their unique personalities, and once they’re onboard, they quickly realise they’re in safe hands. The biggest change she sees? “They leave us to it!” Which means our clients can focus on their projects, while she keeps the books in order.

Described as hilarious, efficient and unforgettable, Teresa brings a whole lot of personality and expertise to the team.

Sarah may be one of the newer faces at My Smart Office, but she’s already making a serious impact. With a background that brings a solid mix of experience and a calm, can-do attitude, Sarah supports our clients’ on-site project operations from the back office, helping keep finances, timelines and project structures in check.

She thrives in the fast-paced, multi-project environment and loves that no two days (or clients) are the same. For Sarah, there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing structure create results, especially when that leads to happy, less-stressed clients. Her superpower? Helping construction businesses outsource those critical (but often sidelined) admin and management tasks so projects run smoother, stress levels drop and nothing slips through the cracks. Sarah is all about getting things sorted, so our clients can get on with what they do best.

After hours you’ll find her soaking up quality family time with her husband, new baby and dog. She loves bushwalks, cooking for friends and hosting dinners that bring people together.

We can even take things off your to-do list and put them on ours, including bookkeeping, payroll and admin tasks like compiling quotes, CCC documentation and maintenance schedules for clients.
