Amanda Chisholm runs a successful residential building company with her husband and has over 20 years of experience working with customers, sales and marketing, bookkeeping and administration. She started My Smart Office with a mission: to help builders, small business owners, and trades navigate the day-to-day complexities of their businesses.

Our approach is simple. We’ll work with you to review your business. We'll identify pain points, set priorities, and make a plan to get to work on them. We’ll help you set up effective systems for things like project reconciliation or knowing your business numbers so that you can be confident about where things stand financially. We can even take things off your to-do list and put them on ours, including bookkeeping, payroll and admin tasks like compiling quotes, CCC documentation and maintenance schedule for clients.

Amanda - Director, mentor and problem solver

With a background in corporate sales and marketing and a natural knack for helping people, Amanda brings warmth, wisdom and just the right amount of hustle to the My Smart Office team. She wears a lot of hats – supporting her team, mentoring clients and making sure their systems, payroll, bookkeeping and admin are all running like a well-oiled machine.

Amanda thrives on meeting new people and loves welcoming new clients into the fold. Her favourite part? Seeing business owners regain control, reduce stress and actually start enjoying their business again. Described by her team as bubbly and full of knowledge, Amanda’s the person you want in your corner when you’re ready to lighten your load and sharpen up your systems.

Outside work, you’ll likely find her on the sidelines cheering on her daughter Mackenzie at football, or in the gym working on her strength game (spa and sauna mandatory afterwards). With a love for boating and exploring the Hauraki Gulf, she and her husband Bryce are currently on the hunt for their next boat – and the next great weekend adventure.

 

Katie - Bookkeeper, multitasker and reconciliation fanatic

Katie knows what it’s like to be busy – with three young kids, a puppy, a business and a job, she’s mastered the art of multitasking. When she does carve out a moment for herself, you’ll find her grabbing a coffee and heading out for a walk, getting stuck into some DIY or keeping on top of the gardening.

With a career that’s taken her from law firms to media and now into accounts, Katie brings a diverse skillset and a deep understanding of small business life – especially having helped run her husband’s business for over 15 years. She knows first-hand how hard it can be to keep on top of everything.

At My Smart Office, Katie is the calm in the bookkeeping storm – keeping things tidy, streamlined and up to date so business owners can focus on growing their business instead of chasing paperwork. She loves knowing she’s genuinely helping her clients and finds real satisfaction in a fully reconciled Xero account (yes, really!). Katie is someone who gets stuck in and gets the job done – diligent, dependable and quietly brilliant at keeping everything running smoothly.

 

Teresa – Bookkeeping queen, hot rod enthusiast and all-round legend

Teresa brings serious horsepower to the My Smart Office team, and we’re not just talking about her love of hot rods. With a background in accounts across the mechanical and building industries, she knows her way around the numbers and isn’t afraid to get stuck in. In her words, she does “as much as I can for each of our clients”, and she means it.

Outside work, Teresa’s usually on the go – playing pickleball or squash, hanging with the grandbabies or catching up over a drink (or two). There’s never a dull moment when she’s around, and her sense of humour is just as sharp as her spreadsheets.

Teresa loves working with different clients and getting to know all their unique personalities – and once they’re onboard, they quickly realise they’re in safe hands. The biggest change she sees? “They leave us to it!” Which means our clients can focus on their projects, while she keeps the books in order.

Described as hilarious, efficient and unforgettable, Teresa brings a whole lot of personality and expertise to the team.

 

Sarah – Project support pro, organisational whiz and calm in the chaos

Sarah may be one of the newer faces at My Smart Office, but she’s already making a serious impact. With a background that brings a solid mix of experience and a calm, can-do attitude, Sarah supports our clients’ on-site project operations from the back office – helping keep finances, timelines and project structures in check.

 

Sarah Wilson

She thrives in the fast-paced, multi-project environment and loves that no two days (or clients) are the same. For Sarah, there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing structure create results, especially when that leads to happy, less-stressed clients. Her superpower? Helping construction businesses outsource those critical (but often sidelined) admin and management tasks so projects run smoother, stress levels drop and nothing slips through the cracks. Sarah is all about getting things sorted, so our clients can get on with what they do best.

After hours you’ll find her soaking up quality family time with her husband, new baby and dog. She loves bushwalks, cooking for friends and hosting dinners that bring people together.
